File Converter privacy policy
Last updated April 30, 2026.
Overview
File Converter is designed around local, on-device conversion. The product direction is to keep supported files on the user's iPhone and avoid unnecessary collection of personal data.
Files you choose
The app only accesses files, photos, or shared items that you explicitly select or send into the app. Supported conversions are intended to run locally on your device rather than being uploaded to a remote processing service.
No account requirement
The current product positioning does not require an account to use core workflows. The app direction also avoids ads, analytics SDKs, and cloud upload requirements for supported tools.
Share Extension workflows
If you use the Share Extension or Share Sheet support, the app receives only the files or photos you intentionally share into it so the selected conversion can be completed.
On-device storage
Converted outputs, recent activity, preferences, and purchase state may be stored locally on your device so the app can function correctly and make repeat workflows faster.
Purchases
Any in-app purchase or restoration flow is processed by Apple through the App Store. File Converter does not process your card details directly.
Website privacy
This website is delivered as a static site and does not include third-party analytics scripts, ad tags, or tracking pixels. Standard web server logs may still exist at the infrastructure level for security and operations.
Changes
If the app's privacy behavior changes, this policy should be updated before the new behavior is released so the live policy remains accurate.
